Based in South Armagh, Polygon Recycling provides a polythene and polypropylene
removal service to mushroom growers in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of
Ireland.
In addition, we have also been awarded a tender by Fermanagh District Council for the removal of waste agricultural film from their state-of-the art amenity centres.
We can help other companies meet growing environmental regulations by disposing of their soft plastics responsibly.
Recycling soft plastic packaging reduces the landfill impact, in turn conserving our valuable natural resources. Today, taking care of business means taking care of the environment.
The polythene is currently processed by the leading recycler of plastic films in the UK. As the largest European producer of damp proof membranes and specialised building films from post-use waste, this company ensures that such recycled materials are re-used in the very European markets they were sourced from.
Polypropylene and agricultural films, meanwhile, are brokered to major recycling companies in China and Malaysia, where they are processed into waterproof clothing and plastic bin bags, carrier bags, etc.
All waste materials collected by Polygon Recycling are re-processed into genuinely usable items, thus closing the loop in soft plastics recycling.
Polygon Recycling is fully registered with the Environmental & Heritage Service of Northern Ireland, under The Controlled Waste (Registration of Carriers) Regulations (NI) 1999, and The Waste & Contaminated Land (NI) Order 1997. |
